PCT’s digital splitters and taps offer exceptional performance at 1.2 GHz and long-term reliability for drop installations, particularly in systems with cable modem applications. This newest generation enables MSOs to confidently upgrade their network hardware as they rollout services made possible by DOCSIS 3.1.

An indoor RF splitter evenly divides the input signal to each output port and is used when all the outlets are at similar coaxial cable lengths from the splitter. An indoor RF tap divides the signal unevenly, with higher loss on the “tap” port, and lower loss on the “thru” port. It is used when one outlet is very near the tap, and the other outlet is some distance away. These are primarily used in apartment buildings to tap off a small amount of signal for each apartment from the main cable distributing signals to the entire building.
